NUP supporters in trouble for assaulting NRM supporter in Kalangala

The police in Kalangala District have arrested Gerald Zzinga, a NUP Coordinator, Sunday Kamala, Kakembo Yuda and Buculi, all residents of Nkose landing site in Mazinga Sub-County, for assaulting an NRM Supporter, one Ssebuwufu Joseph.


The group allegedly raided a bar where they found Ssebuwufu, brutally assaulted him, causing him to suffer internal bleeding. 


The victim had allegedly snatched a microphone from Gerald Zzinga in a Political meeting of Hon Nanyondo Carol Birungi, NRM Parliamentary seat flag bearer for Kyamuswa County on Sunday evening.


According to Benon Byamukama the Kalangala District Police Commander, investigation into the matter have commenced and the culprits are in Police custody, likely to be charged with assault and being public nuisance.
