President Museveni has dumped more military officers, days after dumping the Chief of Defence Forces Gen Katumba Wamala in favor of Gen David Muhoozi.
This morning, more changes were announced indicating that the media sweetheart UPDF spokesperson Lt Col Paddy Ankunda is the latest victim of the axe.
Ankunda has been replaced by Brig Richard Karemire, formerly deputy CMI boss, making it the first time an officer at the rank of brigadier is made spokesperson of the UPDF.
On the brighter side, Brigadier Proscovia Nalweyiso, senior presidential advisor on defence and security has been promoted to Major General.
Also, UPDF chief political commissar, Col Felix Kulaigye has also been replaced by Col Henry Matsiko, formerly working under president’s office, while Brig Sam Kavuma is now deputy commander Air Force.
