Former forum for democratic change presidential candidate Col. Dr. Kiiza Besigye has denied holding any discussions with President Museveni claiming they have no business to talk about.

The clarification follows several media reports that the two political rivals are holding a dialogue to have FDC and NRM work together politically

“I want to categorically state that am not in any dialogue discussions because I don't have any business with President Museveni like one news paper recently reported” Said Besigye.

Besigye told the press at his Kasangati home this morning that he has told inter-religious leaders on different occasions at his home and at another engagement while in prison that he has no business with Museveni and has never discussed on the dialogue formulation.

The FDC strong man says he also indicated to religious leaders that a national dialogue without the interests of the people has no fruits and their engagement is always minimized by the ruling party, injustice is across the board and it is the central contradiction and it has no party.

He says religious leaders in the country should be able to fight the injustice, should be voices of the voiceless, should be neutral on matters of peace, justice, and non partisan.

“In my interaction with them, I appealed to them to take the position and I expect them to be stake- holders on the table amongst other stakeholders instead of crossing hands on the table. I have been taken back when I heard they had began organising a dialogue and set up a secretariats without clear agenda.”
