Forum for democratic change, FDC party president Gen. Mugisha Muntu says the party will not drop its defiance campaign despite a constitutional court decision that they are unlawful.

The move comes after court sitting on Friday April 29th stipulated that all FDC activities including the black Tuesday prayers are unlawful and directed that they are immediately stopped.

But speaking to the media at the party offices in Najjanankumbi, Gen. Muntu insisted they had not been served any documents to confirm the Court’s decision, but have rather seen the reports in different dailies and on various news sites.

He then declared that they would still hold party prayers tomorrow as has always been the case.

“Tomorrow, we intend to go ahead and have our day of prayer, we have not received or been served with an order yet, so we don’t know whether what we have been hearing on the airwaves is correct or not, but even if we are served with the order, if there is any intentions to stop activities tomorrow, there is absolutely no way we can stop going to prayers,” says Muntu.

He says they are taking a stand on this, and called upon other Ugandans to join the cause.
