Suspected buglers last night broke into the offices of Muhammed Mbabazi, the lead lawyer in the election petition of Amama Mbabazi in the Supreme Court against election victory of President Yoweri Museveni.

According to officials from the law firm, important documents, files and laptops were stolen from the office located in wandegeya Kampala last night.

There has since been allegations from a witness who says police and military officers are responsible for the break in.

Speaking to the media outside his ill-fated office, Mbabazi said they would not report to police, claiming the force is to blame.

"Report where? They [police] were here. They broke in." said Mbabazi.

He added; "Surprised that police broke in. Maybe they were maintaining law and order in this democratic country.”

Upon arrival at the scene, Police detectives were denied access to the office premises.

Meanwhile,                     

Offices of another lawyer, Fred Muwema, also Amama Mbabazi’s lawyer, located at Acacia Avenue in Kampala were also broken in last night.

According to reports from that end, they reportedly vandalized the office and stole equipment.

By the time of filing this story, Amama mbabazi was meeting his lawyers to forge a way forward, while Police is yet to comment on the allegations and the two incidents.
