Preparations are in high gear for the second televised presidential debate set for tomorrow at the Serena International Conference Centre.
The debate is scheduled to start at 6:00PM until midnight, and will focus on international matters.
Also this time round, the NRM presidential candidate who missed out on the first debate has promised to attend and tussle it out with his 7 opponents.
According to Justice James Ogoola, the chairman elders’ forum says they have talked to the NRM task force which is working on fixing time for their candidate to appear.
It is to be remembered, that President Museveni missed the first debate that was held on January 15th 2016 with an excuse of being busy with his campaigns, before branding the whole concept, a High school practice.
By this evening, the stage was half way to getting finished, with members of the Interreligious council, a body organizing the debate; visibly busy trying to meet the deadline. Uganda goes to polls on Thursday next week, to elect new leaders, or maintain the current ones.
