A case in which Dr. Kiza Besigye and Samuel Lubega Mukaaku are accused of inciting violence has been adjourned to 2nd September.

The Buganda Road grade one magistrate Asuman Muhumuza has postponed the hearing of the case until the 2nd of September after State Attorney Ivan Kyazze said that he needs time to disclose his evidence to the accused so that they can also prepare their defense.

Dr. Kiiza Besigye the leader of the "red card front" and Samuel Lubega Mukaaku former presidential aspirant were arrested by Police in June while addressing people in downtown Kampala at Shauriyako over the increasing prices of commodities in the country and charged for inciting violence and unlawful assembly.

Meanwhile, the court has also issued criminal summons for Lubega Mukaaku for not appearing in court today. This is the first time Mukaaku is missing court.

On July 1st the duo was granted a cash bail of 2.5 million shillings and their sureties bonded for 500,000 Shillings each. The accused were ordered not to make any public comment about the case until hearing is complete.
