Police in Kanungu are stuck with a body of unidentified man in his 30s who was found dead in Nyamirama Sub County. The body was discovered by the Sub county chief, one Muhewezi Elly who was on his normal duties.
Police led by the OC IP Kakooza John, rushed to the scene and found a male adult around 30 years, short, small in size, dark skinned, in a green jacket and greenish canvass shoes, abandoned in a rice plantation.
Elly Maate the Kigezi regional Police spokesperson says officers tried to liaise with local leaders and locals to identify the body but in vain.
The body had some bruises, head injuries and the presence of car tyre marks indicated that he had been murdered from different place and later abandoned in Nyamirama s/c in Kanungu District.
By press time, the deceased’s body was still at Kihihi health centre four for postmortem.
The case was registered under Nyamirama SD 09/12/10/2020 as inquiries continues to know the relatives and cause of the deceased death.
