Police in Rubanda are investigating a fatal accident involving an MV UBA 493E M/ Benz box body that went off road rolling down the valley killing one person.
The deceased male is believed to be the driver whose names could not be established.
According to Elly Maate the Kigezi Regional police spokesperson, the accident happened on Sunday night at around 2100hrs at Mutachengwa on Kabale Kisoro highway in Rubanda district.
Maate says Police visited the scene and struggled to retrieve the unrecognizable body from the wreckage as it was squeezed. The body was later conveyed to Kabale hospital mortuary for post mortem.
“The driving permit and other documents found in the vehicle are in the names of Muhanguzi Richard whom we can't tell whether it’s the deceased found under the vehicle” Maate says.
Inquiries ongoing to establish the likely cause.
