Police in Kampala has arrested Kabazi Gerald Alias My phone who is wanted for the murder of his pregnant girlfriend Gabeya Norah Precious.
Kabazi who went missing after strangling Gabeya to death in Kyaliwajala B, Kira Municipality, was arrested Monday night from Kamwokya and is currently detained at Kira Division police.
According to Luke Owoyesigyire the Kampala metropolitan deputy police spokesperson, the gruesome incident happened on Sunday 04/10/2020 at unknown time at Gabby and Ridden boutique shop located at kyaliwajjala which is also their residence.
Residents found Gabeya’s body after she failed to open her shop for business on Monday.
Police responded to calls from residents and the body was conveyed to city mortuary mulago for postmortem. Residents say Kabazi was a violent person, but killing Gabeya was mostrous especially because she was pregnant with their child.
The case file is yet to be forwarded to DPP for Perusal and advice.
