The Bank of Uganda has appointed Dr. Adam Mugume as Ag. Deputy Governor, replacing Luis Kasekende who resigned earlier this year.
During a Board meeting held today March 27th 2020, Dr. Mugume who has been the Executive Director of Research, Bank of Uganda was appointed to execute the executive functions of the office of the Deputy Governor until a substantive Deputy Governor is appointed.
Dr. Mugume’s appointment is with immediate effect and he was requested to cooperate.
Louis Kasekende left the central bank after his contract expired in January this year.
