The police in Kabale have arrested a one Emmanuel Niwagaba, the proprietor of Masters Auto Garage, Kabale municipality for alleged torture.

The suspect was arrested this morning for allegedly torturing Abel Ariheihi, 19, a resident of Nyamabare village, Karubeizi parish in Kanungu district. 
Ariheihi who was studying at Niwagaba’s garage is accused of stealing spanners.
According to Brian Ampaire the Kabale District Police Commander, Niwagaba arrested, tied and beat the victim using an electric cable, and also forced him to accept that he stole the spanners.

Ariheihi's mother, Hope Byakatonda told police that his son is unable to walk without support due to deep wounds on his buttocks, thighs and back. 
Ampeire says Niwagaba is being held because he caused grievous harm on Ariheihi and the latter is receiving treatment at Kabale regional referral hospital. 
Police is also investigating the case of theft against Ariheihi as alleged by NNiwagaba.
