Residents Discover Skeletal Remains of woman after 4 months’ search

Residents of Kigorobya II Cell in Hoima district are in have discovered the body of one of their own Sauya Alinaitwe 23, a resident of Kigorobya II Cell in South East Ward in Kigorobya town council who went missing in September.


According to Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson,  the skeletal remains of the deceased were discovered by residents on Friday morning in uncompleted house a few meters from Kigorobya Church of Uganda Primary School.


Hakiza says investigations into the alleged kidnap and murder of the deceased are still on-going.


The Kigorobya town Council LC3 Chairperson Joshua Byangire says that the remains were recovered not very far from the home where the deceased was kidnapped from and he requested the police to expedite investigations into the gruesome act.


Meanwhile, police arrested Amisi Kwezi, the LC I Chairperson of Kigorobya II Cell and three others following the deceased’s disappearance, while her husband Silver Kuniira also fled the home and is yet to be found.
