The police in Bududa are searching for a 10-year-old pupil of Buwali primary school in Bududa district who allegedly stabbed his friend to death in a fight and disappeared into thin air.
The suspect whose name has been withheld because he is a minor, killed 16-year-old Sam Watsosi, a senior two student at Bulucheke secondary school on Monday this week over a girl.
According to reports, the duo clashed when the deceased confronted the suspec accusing him of dating his girlfriend prompting the suspect picked up a knife and stabbed the deceased in the chest during the ensuing brawl.
The deceased was rushed to Bududa hospital where he was pronounced dead. Jaffar Magyezi, the Bududa District Police Commander has called for calm from the deceased’s family, saying the suspect will be tracked down and charged accordingly.
Magyezi also warned youths against moving sharp items like knives and machetes, saying they will be arrested. The community members in Bunamubi trading center where the incident happened accuse the suspect’s father of giving him a lot of liberty, saying he is never punished whenever he goes wrong.
