Africell Uganda, one of the leading telecommunication companies has scrapped off its Swift social media bundles.

The company says SWIFT wasn’t warmly embraced after the re-launch in March this year in Kampala.

The Chief Executive Officer of the company promised quality, affordable and timely internet but it has been failed by the low turnout.

Africell Company is looking for other friendly option which will be productive to both service providers and their customers.

The SWIFT option is no longer available on the USSD code and customers are now provided with daily, weekly and monthly data bundles which don't come with OTT as it has been the case before with the social bundles.

With social bundles, you could  access Snapchat, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter but now customers need to buy data to access their social media accounts.

Here is the cheaper option

This is not the first time Africell is scrapping off the social bundles. In early 2018,  they removed them but due to agitation from their customers online, it relaunched the bundles in March 2019.
