Four people have been killed by unidentified panga wielding man who who attacked Wabigalo trading center along Kampala-Gulu highway. Police in Nakasongola have since launched a hunt for the killer who is on the run.
The Nakasongola Police Commander Patience Namara identified the victims as Lozio Matovu 90, Judith Odur 38, Amos Sekanja 7 and another identified only as Mawanda aged around 10 years who were killed on Thursday between 1-3pm each person at separate locations.
The Wabigalo Parish Internal Security Officer Patrick Lugonvu says the assailant first grabbed a Sekanja from his mother before hacking him to death while the woman managed to flee but later the assailant attacked and killed Odur whom she found carrying firewood.
The killer would later behead Mawanda and Matovu whom he found cooking lunch before he fled into the bushes.
