Body of a mentally unstable man who went missing on Saturday has been dangling on a tree in Mount Elgon Forest National Park. Police identified the deceased as Ezra Wesswa, a resident of Bukiminyi village Buwere parish in Bupoto Sub County.
His lifeless body was found by young boys who had gone to fetch firewood on Wednesday. The deceased’s father, Dison Wanalucha says the deceased disappeared from home on Saturday last week.
According to residents, the deceased had repeatedly threatened to end his life if his father doesn’t allocate him another piece of land after disposing of the one he was allocated.
The Elgon Region Police Spokesperson John Robert Tukei says the deceased’s relatives first picked his body from the crime scene before reporting to police. He said inquiries into the matter are ongoing.
