Police Arrests one, recovers gun stolen from Walukuba Police station

Uganda Police Force officers in Buliisa District have recovered a gun that was stolen from Walukuba Police Station in Butiaba Sub County.

In the wee hours of Tuesday morning at around 1 am, thugs raided the police station and grabbed the Submachine gun-SMG AK registration number UGPol4801541211022 from Corporal Ronah Nalwenda who was on duty.

The thugs allegedly disguised as victims who had come at the police station to report a case.

Corporal Nalwenda alerted Police and the area residents who immediately mounted a search and later recovered the gun in the house of a one Yassin Oyirwoth. 

the Albertine region police spokesperson Julius Hakiza, says that Oyirwoth is currently detained at Walukuba police station as investigations and the hunt for other suspects continues.
