Police in Kampala are searching for thugs who attacked a boda boda cyclist and made off with his motorcycle.
Patrick Onyango the Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson identifies the victim as Sserwada Jamada, 37 who was hired to take the thugs to Bukoto.
The unfortunate incident happened at 2am in the wee hours of Thursday morning. The thugs hired Sserwadda from Deep Blue stage in Wandegeya.
According to Onyango, the thugs on reaching Bukoto, hit Sserwadda on the head. Fortunately, he survived.
Onyango says officers have gone back to the scene and will use footage from the CCTV cameras to help with investigations.
