Police in Apac district are holding four people in connection to the death of a 20-year old man in Chegere Sub County after a bar brawl.

Moses Ekudot, the Apac District Police Commander identifies the suspects as; Jimmy Okullo, Alex Ekwaro and two others only identified as Otim and Eloc, all residents of Adir village in Kidilani Parish in Chegere Sub County.

However, another suspect identified as Allan Ekwaro is still at large. According to Ekudot the suspects allegedly battered Isaac Owiny, a resident of Alik A Village to death on Sunday night.

This came after a quarrel with the deceased during a drinking session at the home of Moses Odongo at Adir trading Centre.

The Kidilani parish LC II chairperson Bosco Ejap says they attempted to save the deceased from the wrath of the suspects in vain since they mobbed him. Ejap says they have teamed with police to hunt for the remaining suspect.

Eyewitnesses say the suspects could have attacked the deceased over a woman who was with him.
Police is yet to conduct a postmortem on the deceased’s body to ascertain what could have caused his death, but investigations have started.
