Uganda Airlines will by end of July this year take to the skies for its maiden flight that will be in one of the busiest business cities in East Africa, Nairobi Kenya.
Last month, the country received two bombardiers which will fly regional routes starting July this year.

Cornwell Muleya the Technical Adviser says they are yet to formally receive the certification from the Civil Aviation Authority. “Currently we are at phase three which is documentation, so we are working actively with the team. There is an appointed certification team as required by CAA” he said.

Also, Muleya says they are targeting quality and time keeping as the key issues of selling the brand. He promises that the airline will be known for keeping time with no delays. Adding that a good team has been hired to handle passengers in the most professional and hospitable manner, that will make them want to fly the crane again.
The airline is expected to fly to Juba at least three times a week. Other destinations include; Kilimanjaro, Mogadishu, Bujumbura, Mombasa, Nairobi and Dar-Es-Salaam.

They are currently working with different CAAs around East Africa to open offices in all destination countries they are targeting.

Meanwhile, Muleya says they are finishing the recruitment next week. He added that government has supported them very well especially by appointing and approving the new seven board members.
