Two private security guards attached to Ankar Security Uganda Limited are in police custody in Hoima on allegations of stealing 30 million shillings.

Two private security guards attached to Ankar Security Uganda Limited are in police custody in Hoima on allegations of stealing 30 million shillings. 

Julius Hakiza, the Albertine region police spokesperson identified the duo as Morry Apinyi and Ambrose Okika.     

They are suspected to have connived with unidentified thugs on Tuesday night and broke into BIDCO offices located on Main Street in Hoima town and stole 30 million shillings. 

According to Hakiza, the two guards had been deployed to guard BIDCO offices on the fateful night when thugs broke into the offices and used a sharp metal to break the safe.    

The duo will be taken to court to be charged accordingly as soon as police investigations are over.
