The military court martial sitting on Monday morning in Makindyeb has granted temporary freedom to Colonel Atwooki Ndahura, the former Director of Crime Intelligence in Uganda Police Force has finally regained his freedom. 

Col. Atwooki was granted bail by Lt General Andrew Gutti the chairman of General Court Martial.
 
The accused and each of his sureties executed bond of Shillings 10 million and 5 million noncash respectively. The sureties included the newly promoted Major General Apollo Kasita, Col. Francis Kashaka, Col. Milton Katarinyebwa, Col. Wilson Kabera, the Commandant at the School of Combat Engineers and Retired Captain. Kahonda Donozio, the Ruhinda county Member of parliament.
 
As part of his bail conditions, Lt General Andrew Gutti restricted Nduhura's movements to Kampala and Wakiso district. Prior to delivering his ruling, General Gutti noted that Ndahura is still a serving UPDF officer who has never been implicated in any scandal is therefore entitled to bail.
 
He is one of the officers charged together with the former Inspector General of Police, General Kale Kayihura with aiding and abetting kidnaps of Rwandan nationals in Uganda. 

They are also accused of issuing fire arms to unauthorized group of Boda Boda 2010 members led by their patron, Abdullah Kitatta. Col. Ndahura now becomes the second suspect to be granted bail following Kayihura.
