Officers at Iganga Central Police Station have in custody three people in connection to the murder of Dr. Ibrahim Gwaluka, the director of Kigandalo Health center IV. 
On Friday Last week, Dr. Gwaluka was shot dead by unknown assailants while his wife survived narrowly by hiding in a latrine. 

The Doctor was killed in his car after arriving home with his wife in the evening. Their home is located in Bulubandi village in Nakigo Sub County in Iganga district.

Police reports indicate that the deceased was driving with his wife, Jalia Namusabi in a premio registration number, UAR 893N during the attack. They have now picked up three people in connection to the shooting.

According to police, two of the suspects were picked up from Mayuge district, while the key suspect was picked from Busia district. A gun was also allegedly recovered and it is believed to have been used in the attack from the home of the prime suspect. 

James Mubi, the Busoga East Region Police Spokesperson confirmed the arrest. "It is true that we arrested three suspects and also recovered a gun in Busia district but investigations are still ongoing. The suspects will be produced in court after investigations," he said.

He however declined to divulge further details, explaining that it may jeopardize their investigations since they are still hunting for more suspects.
