Singer Rabadaba, Eddie Mutwe Released

Rabadaba and Eddie Mutwe have been released on bail by the High Court in Gulu.

Edward Ssebuwufu, also known as Eddie Mutwe, a bodyguard to the Kyadondo East Legislator, Robert Kyagulanyi and local singer Musa Ssenyange popularly known as Rabadaba, a 31-year-old resident in Njeru Town Council in Buikwe district have been released on bail by the High Court in Gulu.

The duo has been in prison for one and a half months after they were arrested by security operatives on August 25 and later charged with treason.

They were charged as part of the 33 suspects who were earlier charged in relation to events that preceded the Arua municipality by-elections in August. The August 13th running battles between police and Kassiano Wadri team left one person (Yasin Kawuma), also Kyagulanyi’s driver dead.

According to security, while in Arua on the fateful day, a group of people under the people power pressure group pelted stones at the presidential motorcade smashing the windscreen of one of the vehicles in the convoy. An attack on a presidential convoy is a treasonable act.President Yower

Museveni had been campaigning for Nusura Tiperu the NRM candidate at Boma grounds in Arua on that day. Kassiano Wadri would later win the hotly contested seat while incarcerated. He replaced the fallen Col. Ibrahim Abiriha who was gunned down early June buy unknown assailants.

While Bobi Wine was and other legislators including; Gerald Karuhanga, Kassiano Wadri, Paul Mwiru Francis Zaake, former MP Micheal Mabikke and more than 25 other suspects were arrested in Arua and charged with treason, his body guard Mutwe and Singer Rabadaba were picked in Kampala.
