Makerere Don Stella Nyanzi is in trouble again after Police picked interest in a vulgar poem he wrote for President Yoweri Musveni on his 74th birthday.

The president celebrated his birthday on September 16th with a cake at state house which was delivered by members of cabinet. But while cabinet was singing him praises, Nyanzi was also on facebook wishing he was never born.

In what has been described as the most disrespectful post from the don by her fans, Nyanzi wrote the unspeakable about the president’s late mother, Esteri Kwokundeka.

She has since received criticism from even her most loyal fans, who claim it is okay to attack a living person, but the vulgarity thrown at a dead old woman was uncalled for.

Now, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (CID) under the Uganda police force says it has opened a general inquiry file into the same post.

She faces charges of annoying, alarming and ridiculing the person of the president which is contrary to section 24 of the Penal Code Act. Nyanzi has been arrested in the past on similar charges, when she branded the president as “a pair of buttocks.” Her charges attract a punishment of imprisonment.
