President Yoweri Museveni has made revisions to the list of reshuffled Resident District Commissioners and their deputies after it emerged that some of last week’s appointees were dead.

News made rounds after it emerged that the president had appointed two dead people and a serving LCV chairperson as RDCs.

The dead persons have been identified as Aluma Geoffrey, appointed as RDC for Amudat and Aya William Deputy RDC Pader.

Andrew Napajja the LCV chairperson Moroto was appointed RDC for Kaabong district.

In the new list received by Howwe.Biz this morning, the dead people have been replaced with Adiama Ekju John Robert and Awany Andrew respectively.

On the other hand, Napajja’s earlier appointment has been replaced with that of Modo Augustine. The development has led many Ugandans to believe, that indeed the government payroll has several ghosts who are receiving salaries, catered for by tax payers’ money.

It remains unclear, how the president could have made this mistake, with many advisers and a big number of staffs at his disposal. One would think, thorough research is done, before such appointments are communicated.

The statement from state house also does not specify the reason as to why, the president had decided to revise the list, as many would have expected.

“His Excellency the President has made slight revisions to the list of reshuffled RDCs and their deputies. Attached is the new list” the introduction reads.
