The judiciary has been asked to expedite the trial of Godfrey Wamala alias Troy, the prime suspect, in the murder of late music star Moses Ssekibogo Alias Mowzey Radio.

This came after the trial was adjourned for the eighth time this morning when the state prosecutor, Markbeth Agumenitwe told the Entebbe Chief Magistrate, Justice Mary Kaitesi Lukwago that investigations were ongoing.

Mowzey Radio breathed his last at Case Clinic in Kampala on January 26 this year after suffering head injuries he sustained in a brawl at De bar, a popular night club in Entebbe. Police picked up Wamala and arraigned him before Entebbe Chief Magistrate for murder, before he was remanded to Kigo government prison in Wakiso district.

But, the case has dragged on as prosecution asks for more time to complete the investigation. Today, Justice Kaitesi pushed the matter to June 18th, 2018.

However, this didn't go down well with Mowzey's mother, Jane Kasubo who said that she was tired of coming to court to seek justice for her son's murder, wondering why De bar, which was sealed as a crime scene, was later reopened.

Defense Lawyer, Ladisluas Rwakafuuzi says much as justice has been delayed, prosecution needs to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the accused was involved in the murder of the fallen music artist.
