The police in Luweero are hunting for Reverend Canon Kezekiah Kalule, an Archdeacon attached to Luteete Archdeaconry and Geoffrey Sserunkuuma, the lay leader of Bbowa Church of Uganda in Makulubita Sub County in Luweero district for alleged defilement.

According to Police, the duo of allegedly defiling minors (16-17 year old girls) under their care. 

Paul Kangave, the Savannah Region Police Spokesperson, says Kalule is wanted for defiling a 16-old- pupil of Luteete Primary School who has been under his custody since 2007. 

While, Sserunkuma is wanted for defiling a 17-year- old pupil of Bbowa Primary School in Makulubita Sub County. 

The police mouthpiece explains that the two young girls were living with the priests and were sponsored by Compassion international, an organization attached to the church. The priests however took advantage of them.

Now, Sserunkuma is being investigated at Luweero Central Police Station under SD Ref; 13/20/03/2018 whereas Kalule is being investigated under CRB 22/2018. The duo hasn't yet commented as they couldn't be reached by the press. 

The matter was however brought to the attention of the Bishop of Luweero Diocese, Bishop Eridard Nsubuga who has since replaced the Archdeacon Kezekiah Kalule with Reverend Geoffrey Kasana pending investigations.
