Martin Okoth Ochola, the newly appointed Inspector General of Police must have had an unpleasant dinterface with members of Parliament on the Appointments committee, leaving him so annoyed that he could not speak to the media after.

Ochola shocked members of the media at Parliament today when he declined to speak to any of them immediately after appearing before the Committee.

The former Deputy IGP, who was clad in a navy blue suit matched with a white shirt and a maroon tie, was in the closed door interface with the Committee chaired by Rebecca Kadaga Speaker of Parliament for close to an hour.

However, upon his releasing from the seemingly tiring and hot questions fired by MPs, Ochola just wanted to leave the Parliamentary premises without being asked more quiz by media. Waiting journalists asked him to address them about his interface with the committee and what he plans to do in the police force as IGP, but Ochola simply walked away telling journalists to find him at the Police Headquarters in Naguru.

His move however was quite different from that of the Security Minister-designate General Elly Tumwine who joyously addressed journalists after appearing before the same committee. Gen. Tumwiine emphasized the need for team work to cure the insecurity in the country.
