New leadership of the Uganda police Force has reshuffled over 88 officers including a big number of District Police Commanders, and Traffic cops.

Notably, the reshuffle has also seen the return of Patrick Onyango to CPS as the public relations officer for Kampala metropolitan. He served in the same office a few years back, before being put on the bench abruptly.

Also affected in the transfers is Edward Kyaligoza, formerly in Savanah region. He now crosses to Wamala region as Deputy RPC, John Mwaule moves from the human resource department to Rukiga as DPC, Geoffrey Kaheebwa who has been on the bench goes to Soroti as DPC, while Edrisa Kyeyune is the new Kabalagala DPC.

Also, Nyangoma Grace moves from Old Kampala to Pader as DPC, Kisakye Ritah is the new CID Kiira division, among others.

The development comes just three days after the firing of former IGP, Gen. Kale Kayihura. On Saturday, prior to his firing, Kayihura reshuffled officers as his last work in office.

Monday’s reshuffles however, were authorized by AIGP Balimwoyo MM.
