The Inspector General of Police (IGP) Gen. Kale Kayihura has ordered all women and girls in Katabi, Entebbe, who are in relationships with men to be registered.

Apparently, this move is aimed at stopping women killings in the municipalities of Nansana and Entebbe.

“All girls and women in relationships must be registered. How it will be done I don’t know,” Gen Kale Kayihura told residents of Katabi in Entebbe on Thursday.

Kayihura argued that cheating was one of the causes of women killings in Entebbe and Nansana, Wakiso district.

At least 24 women have been murdered in Wakiso in the past 16 weeks.

Police have linked the murders to domestic violence, ritual sacrifice, and devil worship.

What do you think? Will this curb murders?
