Uganda Police Force has announced a mini transfer and appointment of personnel across the country. A message issued this morning by Deputy Inspector General of Police Okoth Ochola to all District Police Commanders indicates that the transfers take immediate effect.

In Gulu, criminal intelligence and investigations (CID) officer James Asubu has been moved to CID headquarters in Kampala alongside the Aswa River Region CID officer Detective Senior Superintendent of Police Stanley Owor.

DSP Osteen Wilber Wanyama from CID headquarters replaces Stanley Owor as Aswa River Region Criminal Intelligence and Investigations Officer.

Also moved to CID headquarters from Aswa River Region is Detective Assistant Superintendent of Police Godson Nimanya who has been serving as Pader district CID officer. He is replaced by Samson Obicho from Sembabule district.  

ASP Flavia Ahayo, formerly deployed in Nsangi as CID officer has been posted to the new northern Uganda district of Omoro. D/SSP Owor Stanley moves from Aswa to CID Headquarters in Kampala, while Wanyama Osteen Wilber heads the opposite direction, from CID Headquarters to Aswa as Regional CID Officer.  

Detective Superintendent of Police Were Ronald is transferred from Sembabule to Gulu as District CID Officer. He is replaced by D/ASP Nimanya Godson who moves from Pader to Sembabule as District CID Officer. 

D/ASP Obicho Samson also moves from Sembabule to Pader as District CID Officer, replacing Nimanya Gordon. 

D/ASP Muhanuzi Peter Baitera moves from Gulu to Elegu as Officer in Charge of criminal investigations.
