Victoria University Kampala is set to offer career guidance to Vacists, Holiday Makers, Parents and teachers at their Career day slated for Saturday May 28th.

The event that will take place at the University main Campus, Victoria Towers along Jinja road in the capital Kampala will be graced by a number of inspirational speakers that will offer career advice to the attendees.

Among the guest speakers lined up for the day are Mr. James Saaka, Mr. Andrew Mwenda, Dr. Sabrina Kitaka and Mr. Ethan Musolin.

James Saaka is the Executive Director National Information Technology Authority-Uganda (Nita Uganda).

He holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Computer Science from University of Vladimir Polytechnic Institute, (Soviet Union). He became Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) in 2004.

Mr. Saaka has attended numerous training and workshops in IT Management and Strategy, Leadership, Information Security, IT Technology among others.

He joined Nita Uganda in August 2010 as Executive Director. He is also a member and Secretary to the Nita Uganda Board.

Mr. Saaka has over 15 years of IT Management, with expertise in Information Security, IT Strategy, and Business Services Management. He joined Nita Uganda from Shell International, where he had worked for 12 years.

Dr. Sabrina Kitaka is a Senior Lecturer, specialist pediatrician – Department of Pediatrics, Makerere University College of Health Sciences, Mulago Hospital.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and Surgery and a Masters of Pediatrics and Child Health.

Andrew Mwenda is a leading Ugandan journalist, founder and owner of the independent, a current affairs newsmagazine.

Ethan Mussolini is the CEO of Success Africa, he is a motivational speaker with coaching skills in goal setting, time management, social and business etiquette among others.

He is also an author and has written books on leadership, public speaking, personal branding, productivity, time management and many more.

He provides consultancy services on a wide variety of areas including team building, work-life balance, goal setting, time management and entrepreneurship.

Over the years, Victoria University has organized such events as this to offer guidance and inspire young people in a bid to help them make better career choices.

This year’s Career day will be running under the theme “My future, My Career, My Responsibility” and the topic of discussion will be “Student of the Future”
