They are already attracting high profiles personalities to perform for them, companies, social functions, and high-end music shows. Here are Uganda’s young singers to watch in the next few years.

Fyonna Nsubuga

Fyonna

She came to fame when she sang the National anthems of both Uganda Cranes Vs Congo Braille at Namboole in 2012. She is a dynamic singer based in the UK but a regular in Uganda with a very nice voice. She has hits like Show Time, Mpaka Mwisho, Mpulira Kika, Nsiba Nkulowooako, Satisfy You, Birimumaaso, Suula Mpola Yamanyi Mukama and a duet with Judith Babirye titled Yamanyi Mukama. She is highly rated as a complete and outstanding artist to watch out for in 2014.

Fille Clear

Fille

A year ago, she was nowhere near music circles but Mutoni Fille known by her stage name Fille, a Ugandan of Rwandan origin is surely heading for big things in the music industry. She is one of the young forces to reckon with in the industry and has so far released hit like I Need You, Its Not About Money, Where Have You been, Jetaime and her album is called Beauty From Ashers. Fille is a church girl from Rubaga Miracle Centre choir G Way choir. She is 23 years old.

Irene Ntale

Irene Ntale

She signed under Swangz Avenue and rose to fame after her collabo with Bebe Cool titled ‘Love Letter’, which moved up on the charts and spent some good time there. Irene has been climbing music ladder since then and has dubbed by many of her fans as the new Juliana Kanyomozi.

Khalifa Aganaga

Very few upcoming singers can attract interest from already established singers after less a year in the industry. With his short period in the industry, he has already done collabo with one of Uganda’s finest female singer Iryn Namubiru ‘We Are Better Than Them’. His hits such as Oyitangayo, Minakonda, Ndabirawa have put him in the game.

Rema Namakula

When she left Gagamel everyone was like she is not going to make it and that without Bebe Cool, she was no one. Few months down the road, she has continued her music exploits and organized a successful concert. Rema looks like she is going to have a successful solo music career. Her hits like Fire Tonight, Kukaliba, Oliwange to mention but a few are some of the evidence that she is headed to greater music heights.

Angela Nabuufu

Angela Nabuufu

She is better known by her stage name Ang3lina. She plies her music trade in Kampala and London. With less than a year in music, she has been nicknamed the new queen of music here in Uganda and UK. She has really been turning heads across the country. Angella was born and raised in London and is currently a student at Birmingham University studying an undergraduate degree in clinical psychology. The a multi talented musician who was been exposed to music from a very young age has sexy voice, plays piano, guitar and bass all at an exceptional level. She is also a songwriter and has songs like Sigwa Kukoma, Omukyala and has done a collabo with Coco Finger titled Hands In The Air.

Maro

Maro (R)

He is an R ‘n’ B artist who grew up from Nsabya Estates. He started his music career in Sulubada High, which was owned by Mikie Wine. He has songs like Sula Bulungi, Ngenda Ewamwe. He is surely a star for future.

Sarah Musayimuto

Sarah Musayimuto

She is a Ugandan female singer based in Denmark. She sings in different music genre and has songs like Ngenze Noono, Closer, Nebwengunaba, Tuyambe Omukyara Wa Africa and many others. The singer occasional comes to Uganda and has already showed how strong she is by setting up a charity organization called Sarah Musayimuto that helps pregnant women.

Ziza Bafana

Bafana

He started his music career with Yiya Moze and they had a group called Back To Life before they parted company. He is a dancehall artist and has songs like Ebitego, Gwawalumbe, Jayo Ntekeyo, Soft, Ebintubyo and many others. Bafana is truly headed to a big future musically.

Edith K.

Edith K

She is signed by Gagamel, which is owned by Bebe Cool. Edith has songs like Ompisa Bulungi, Kirumira, Mwoyo Wangu, Yenze and many others. She looks to be a right replacement for Rema.

 Zanie Brown

Zanie

She is much known for her singles such as Gyemukweka, More Kirabo, Mponye Emisavu, Whatever and many more others. Brown promises to be a future star.

 Tiktrasta

He is a young rapper from Baboon Forest and has performed on stages like Kadanke, Teeniez Buzz corporate companies’ parties and high music shows. He is the fastest rapper and has songs like Nswanjere, Go Me Slow, Distance Zero to mention but a few.
