Ykee Benda made his breakthrough back in 2015 with his hit song "Farma".
He has since released hit songs, organized concerts, and won several awards. He also started his record label, Mpaka Records which has gone on to tap into other services like marketing.

Ykee Benda a graduate of Chemical Engineering from one of the top Universities in Algeria believes he is the luckiest musician in Uganda.
After returning to Uganda, he dropped a hit song and shelved his degree.
“I studied engineering but got my breakthrough immediately after my return to Uganda. This shows that I am the luckiest musician in Uganda,” he said in an interview.
He recently announced that he would stage a concert come 2023.
