Musician Azawi had a sold-out maiden concert at Lugogo Grounds on Friday despite claims that half of the tickets were given out for free.
She officially stamped her name in the music industry after pulling a mammoth of partiers to her show.
Since her breakthrough three years ago, Azawi has continued to prove that she is Uganda’s next big artist.
The Female Artist of The Year for the Zzina Awards thinks she no longer has competition locally, she is now focusing on conquering the global market.
“I am no longer competing with anyone in Uganda. My focus is now global,” Azawi said in an interview.
Azawi is backed by many to bag some of the biggest accolades on the global scene.
