In 2020, musician Jose Chameleone promised to revive Clever J's career by giving him a collabo.
Chameleone said that Clever J deserved another chance. He also refuted claims that he had abandoned the fellow singer.
But in a new interview, Clever J has disclosed that the Leone Island boss demanded a lot of money to finance the collaboration yet he (Clever J) was broke.
He claimed that Chameleone asked him to sponsor the production of the song.
He blamed Chameleone and Pallaso for not fulfilling the promise they made when they met last year.
"Pallaso and Chameleone promised me a collaboration but it never happened. I had no money to pay for production and they were not willing to meet the costs," he disclosed in an interview with local television.
Poverty-stricken Clever J had resorted to bricklaying to make a living before he resurfaced on the social scene last year.
