Bobi Wine’s young brother Daxx Vybz vows not to perform at the UG concert which happens every weekend on NBS TV, and a few other channels.
Daxx says he can’t participate in something that doesn’t offer a lasting solution to the industry.
Daxx adds that the people organizing the shows are not helping the industry.
“If they want to help us, they should just push for the copyright law instead of offering short-term solutions,” he explains.
Adding that, “I have no problem with my friends who choose to perform at the show.”
The UG concert is organized by the Uganda Cultural Council. Its main goal is to help artists earn something during this lockdown period. Concerts remain suspended following the presidential directive that was issued in March 2020.
