Legendary musician Halima Namakula made her mark on Uganda’s music industry close to two decades ago. She launched her career with the banger "Ekimbeewo".
Talking about why most entertainers don't last in the industry, Namakula said some musicians exhibit poor stage performances. They can't move the crowds and this forces the revelers to ignore them.
She says many of them don't do rehearsals before performances. They spend most of the time in drinking places instead of training and rehearsing.
"You can't move the crowd when you spend most of your time in bars and casinos that's why many of them are poor at stage performances. We need to do more rehearsals before going on stage," she said in an interview with local television.
Halima Namakula has groomed Hanson Baliruno, Rema Namakula, and Racheal K among others.
