A week ago, a new music umbrella named Uganda Musicians Federation started. Jose Chameleone was appointed the President.
Soon after its formation, people claimed it was intended to counter Cindy Sanyu’s Uganda Musicians' Association.
However, Chameleone was quick to trash the allegations and said the group was meant to unite superstars while Cindy’s was meant to unite upcoming musicians.
From the latest news on our desk, the Federation has closed its doors to musicians who intend to register and be part of it.
This was announced by Roden Y Kabako who doubles as the Information minister.
Kabako also said they will ask for support from the government for its members.
