The first edition of Museveni Election Music Awards(MEMA) was launched at NRM Secretariat on Kyadondo Road on Monday morning.
The virtual Awards that will happen at Kati Kati grounds on December 30 will recognize musicians who dropped songs that praise the NRM government and H.E Yoweri, Kaguta Museveni.
The idea was created by Butcher man and his wife a couple of months ago.
Butcher man's wife advised participants to forward their songs to the official website, www.mema.ug, or via WhatsApp before Thursday.
"We ask all the musicians who will be grace on December 30 to abide by the Covid-19 Standard Operating Procedures(sops)
The winner will walk away with Shs 5M as prize money.
