Sophie Gombya officially handed over the Uganda Musician Associations’ office to Ykee Benda on Tuesday.
She resigned to pursue her political dream.
While talking at the ceremony, she advised her Ykee Benda to never mix politics and music because the two are parallel.
She emphasized that politics will bring divisions in the association yet they need to be united to help the industry grow.
On the same day, Ykee Benda was replaced Cindy Sanyu as the vice president of the UMA.
