Anel Lukwago alias Anel Tunes, 33, is an audio engineer who has over the years mastered some of the biggest songs in  Uganda's music industry.

He polishes the work of the producers to give the audience a perfect product.

Despite the fact that very few musicians appreciate the work done by the audio engineers like Anel Tunes, their work still speak volumes.

“ In the production process of any song,  there is need for specialisation but currently everything is being done by the Producer.  Few artistes are embracing our contribution in the studio. In few years, we will have many audio  engineers,” Anel told this website.

Anel Tunes carries out his trade at his studio, Black Art Studios located in Bunga.

His studio is frequented by singers like B2C, Lydia Jazmine among others and he has mastered hit songs like “Gutujja” by B2C and Rema, “Masuuka” by Lydia Jazmine, “Wakoona” by Sheebah, “Chips na Ketchup” by Vinka, “Superman” by Ykee Benda, “Mpa Love” by King Saha and Weasel among others.

Anel Tunes through Coke Studio also got a chance to master the World Cup song remix by Jason Derulo and Ykee Benda. Using the same platform, he has had a chance to interact with some of Africa’s finest musicians like Mr. Flavour from Nigeria, Waje also from Nigeria, Lizo James from Mozambique, Yuri Da Cunya from Angola among others.

Locally, Anel also works with the best media and production houses. He is a presenter, producer, audio engineer and voice over artiste at Kansanga based Galaxy FM. He also works with Swangz Avenue, arguably the biggest record label in the country.
