Uganda’s dynamic music duo, Radio and Weasel will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary in a concert dubbed “10 Years of RAW” at Kyadondo Rugby Club on November 3rd, 2017. The announcement was made yesterday to members of the press by organizers and sponsors. The concert has attracted sponsorship from Bell Lager, MTN and Coca Cola and is being organized by renowned music promoter, Balaam.
While addressing the press, the Good Lyf crew announced that this concert would be a compilation of their best hits as they celebrate a decade of making good music together. “It is not a small fete to accomplish 10 years as a duo making music. With this concert, we would like to appreciate our fans who have supported us through the years. Brands like Bell Lager and MTN were also with us from the start and we are grateful. I also thank my friend Weasel for working closely with me through these years to produce great music,” said Radio, real names Moses Nakintije Ssekibogo.
The concert will also feature performances from other Ugandan artists like Chameleone, Pallaso and Exodus. The duo say they are yet to release the full concert lineup.
“As a business, our brands are crafted to be part of celebratory occasions and 10 years of great music by Uganda’s dynamic duo, Radio and Weasel, calls for nothing less than a celebration. As an authentic Ugandan brand, Bell Lager will celebrate this achievement alongside these two music giants. We intend to pour life into this music experience, this will be no ordinary concert,” said Francis Kirabira, Bell Lager Brand Manager.
Uganda Police promised to ensure revelers would be safe on the concert day.
Both Bell Lager and MTN have contributed 100 million shillings each towards the concert.
