Robert Downey Jr. has secured top spot on the Forbes list of highest-paid actors in the world. The “Iron Man” actor took home a whopping $80 million in earnings in past year, the magazine said.

It's Downey Jr.'s third year at the top spot, as the actor delivered many box office hits lately, including "Iron Man” and “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” The actor might remain on top next year too as he has another Marvel comic movie, “Captain America: Civil War,” lined up for release.

“Rush Hour” actor Jackie Chan debuted second on the list with $50 million in earnings the past year. The Hong Kong born actor and director has made his place in the Hollywood with his expertise in martial arts. Some of his upcoming movies include Kung Fu Panda 3, Kung Fu Yoga and Railroad Tigers.

The No. 3 spot on the Forbes list of highest-paid actors went to “Fast and Furious” actor Vin Diesel, with $47 million in earnings. Famous Hollywood A-Listers Bradley Cooper, Adam Sandler and Tom Cruise are the next three on the list. Cooper took home a staggering $41.5 million, thanks to his box office hits “Aloha” and “American Sniper.”

Though Sandler's recent flick "Pixels" did not do well at the global box office, the 48-year-old actor still managed to take home $41 million over the past year, thanks to his production partnerships with Sony and Netflix.

Meanwhile, “Thor” actor Chris Hemsworth became the first Australian actor to be featured on the list. Hemsworth banked $27 million in the past year to land himself the No. 15 spot. Fellow Australian thespian Hugh Jackman was placed at No. 21 with $23 million in earnings over the last year. “Gladiator” actor Russell Crowe bagged No. 24 spot with $18 million, thanks to his biblical epic “Noah,” which grossed $362 million at the box office.
