And this is what Sheilah Gashumba believes. Ugandan musicians shouldn't blame their stagnant music careers on their native language.
She noted that good music goes as far as to the moon despite the language used to craft lyrics. She explained that most of the Nigerians danced to "oluvanyuma" by Zulitums though they didn't understand the meaning.
She pointed out Nigeria's Kidi who wanted to do a remix of the song yet he didn't even understand the language.
"I believe good music endorses itself despite the language. The Nigerian Kidi, who sang "touch it" wanted to jump on the "oluvanyuma" song by Zulitums. He didn't understand the song but loved it," she explained during the NBS after 5 show on Monday.
It's the production and music mastering which captivates most global musicians and fans.
