Sheilah Gashumba has asked musicians to start investing heavily in their music promotion and marketing.

She contends that most of the musicians stop at audio and video production, they don't draw budgets for the advertising, something which affects the distribution of the song.

"Our musicians should start going digital. People no longer promote songs through tape distribution, it's now online. Invest in your talent for better results. Know it is your job to push the song to the consumers," she explains in an interview with a local YouTuber.

She also advises Djs and music producers to get talent managers. With them, they can negotiate better deals with the musicians.

"In Nigeria, all music producers and DJs have managers, why don't we learn from them and bring it here as well," she adds.

Sheilah Gashumba has been promoting Nigerian music through her social media platforms for over a year now.
