After the revival of Uganda Musician Association(UMA), it was made mandatory for every Ugandan musician to register with the association.
However, a number of them declined to abide by the rules as stipulated by the constitution of the association.
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni alias Sevo is one of these musicians.
According to UMA President, Ykee Benda, President Museveni must register with the association or else he won't be allowed to release music.
For a musician to register, they need to pay a membership fee of Ugx 20,000.
