Musicians Winnie Nwagi, who joined Swangz Avenue in 2014 has had a successful career so far with the Industrial Area based record label. Over the years, she has dropped several hits starting with her breakthrough song Musawo followed Kano Koze, Embeera, Jangu, Matala, Kibulamu, magic, detergent among others.

She also collaborated with other artists like  Nigeria’s Slim prince on Fire Dancer, a song that's almost on every djs’ playlist. Amaaso with Vinka and  Galaxy FM’s Dj Harold, Fefe Busi and The  Myth.

Others include Science ft King Saha, Oyitayo with Chozen Blood, Bwogana with Rachel Ray and  Kwata Essimu featuring Free Boy.

After years of churning out hit songs, rumours that she was quiting the label kept coming up in the news. It was reported that she felt the management didn't care after failing to organize a concert since she joined the label in 2014.

Nwagi was allegedly incensed after realizing that the management didn't have any plans to stage a concert for her anytime soon.

There were several incidences that followed like slapping the maid and the matter was resolved after the label stepped in.

But the good news is that she is not going anywhere anytime soon.

The latest is that she renewed her contract and this puts to bed all the rumors of a fall out between her and Swangz Avenue, a label that prides on good reputation and a strict code of conduct.

The management clearly looked at talent, outweighing her shortcomings.

Swangz Avenue released a video of contract signing ceremony and  Winnie Nwagi is seen popping Champaign to commemorate the occasion..
